The Project

Solo Plastics limited was asked by a South Islands irrigation company Altewell Irrigation Limited to design and build the fittings for a large 1200 hectare irrigation scheme. The fittings in both PE and PVC were required to be fully rated to a pipe - up to 630 SDR 21 PE100 PN8

The sample tees shown were electrofused to the mainline and the branches flanged to take the PVC lateral connections.

The client Grassland Canterbury and the contractor were saved considerable effort and inconvenience by the construction of the PE tees which had been traditionally made in steel or Cast iron and flanged to the line.
